MEMBER ENGAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE


Oversees the public communication of the association including: any public relations, MaHIMA Connect Newsletter, social media accounts, Awards, Mentorship, MaHIMA Access. Sub Committee:  


EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Under the direction of the Director of Education, coordinates meeting in regard to topics, speakers, agendas, and prepares cost estimates. Manages registration at each meeting.

LEGISLATIVE AND ADVOCACY COMMITTEE

Monitors legislation in the state legislature and works with legislatures as necessary. Organizes and plans the agenda for the Dot Wagg Legislative Seminar in November, Privacy Matters Forum and Advocacy updates and efforts. Organizes webinars and workshops. Maintains Medicolegal Guide updates and new options.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

This committee solicits nominees for the annual MaHIMA ballot and seeks candidates for AHIMA elections.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE

Responsible for the overall set up of the meeting site including the planning of the menus, social events, silent auction and raffles, etc.
