AHIMA Advocacy Summit 2023: Empowering People to Impact Health

If knowledge is power, then health information can be considered the most powerful currency for change in the healthcare ecosystem. Getting that information into the right hands at the right time continues to be a challenge and one that the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is committed to advancing through advocacy.

In collaboration with its members, industry leaders, and national healthcare organizations, AHIMA developed an advocacy agenda that will be leveraged to influence the public policy environment to benefit health information professionals, patients, and communities.

The AHIMA Advocacy Summit is where health leaders and policymakers come together to address important key policy issues related to health data and health information.

This two-day event, taking place March 20–21, 2023, in Washington, DC, includes a Public Policy Institute on March 20. This Institute will focus on:

  • Improving individuals’ health journey through access to information, privacy, and equity
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of health information
  • Advancing healthcare transformation

AHIMA members also have an opportunity to advocate for issues impacting the health information profession to their elected officials at our Capitol Hill Day on March 21.

Registration is open!
